Yes. The safety of you, your children, pets, plants and property is upper-most in our minds whenever we treat a property for pests.

CMS only use the latest pest control products available. These all meet Australian standards, are fully-tested and are safe. We use these same treatments around food areas (in hospitality environments such as cafes and restaurants), hospitals and other sensitive environments. Please discuss any specific concerns with us.  Data Sheets for the specific pest control products are available on request.

Yes. CMS only use the latest pest control products available. These are safe for pet cats, dogs and birds and other typical household pets. For your own peace of mind, we suggest that dogs can cats are kept inside or restrained in an area while external pesticide spraying takes place.

If you own a fish pond, we strongly recommend that this is covered during external pest treatments. CMS do not spray near fish ponds.

Virtually all our treatments, gels and sprays are odour-free. We will advise of any potential odours in the rare cases where that circumstance arises.

We do not spray food. The pest control gels are applied around cracks, gaps and hinges and under refrigerators rather than within cupboards.

While it depends on the style and location of the property, it is advised to have an annual pest and termite inspection. Our specialist pest controllers can advise you if it should be more or less often.

Apart from having things like toys and clothes stored away, there is no specific preparation required for pest control treatment in your home.

It is not necessary to empty kitchen cupboards. We do not use wet sprays inside cupboards with treatments typically applied near hinges, cracks, crevices and gaps.

It is likely that you’ll have some pest activity for a couple of days after our visit. Elimination of pests typically takes several days after we’ve done our job. Pests often move around after our sprays with the treatment designed to attract pests to their demise.

There is no need to clean carpets because of pest control. If you are planning to have your carpets cleaned, it is recommended to do this before CMS Pest Management perform their pest control service.

No. Being water-based, the chemicals and pesticides we use do not leave any stains, marking or colouring on carpets, floors or walls.

With all of our pest control treatments, CMS offer a warranty which means that if we do not do the job thoroughly and properly, we will return for free to fix the problem. 

Notices are placed in the letterboxes of all residents and on the strata complex noticeboard(s). This gives a period for residents to plan their activities around the pest control for the common areas.

The notices also gives the details of how unit owners can have their individual townhouses / units / apartments treated at the same time as thew common area is treated at a significantly reduced rate.

As for all pest control treatments, an appraisal of the property is performed to check for signs of pest infestations. Areas sprayed and/or treated include gardens, garages, rubbish areas, foyers, stairwells, fences, perimeters and roof voids (if applicable).

In general, it is advised to have a regular annual program of pest control. This may be more often in some circumstances where pests are more likely to be prevalent. This regular program gives peace of mind to residents, owners and strata managers that the property is regularly monitored and action plans to prevent future issues (such as how garbage is managed or trees are trimmed to prevent possums climbing into roof voids) can be recommended and implemented.

Please don’t spray or remove them immediately but rather give us a call. CMS will promptly attend your property and take appropriate action to handle your termite issue. Spraying them will chase them to another location and reduces the chances of us finding their source location(s) and makes it more difficult to assess the best treatment plan.

For our residential clients, payment is due immediately after the pest control treatment. CMS Pest Management will invoice businesses and strata management clients after the completion of the pest control service.
